I Just Bought an Xbox 360

I just bought the 120GB Xbox 360 bundle that comes with Lego Batman and Pure. I also bought Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection and Virtua Tennis 3 (since 2009 tries too hard to be realistic, from what I've heard). I believe that I'll buy Castle Crashers, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Shadow Complex on XBLA once I receive the console. (I bought it on Amazon.)

I'm now prepared for the release of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. smile

Oh shit.....  doesn't the bible list this as one of the seals, or a sign marking the arrival of the horsemen, or something equally disturbing ?_?

I assume you will be picking up Marvel vs Capcom 2 from XBL once you get your rig setup, right?  It's a direct port off of the Dreamcast.  And for something with such a simplistic nature 'Splosion Man is actually lots of fun.  Multiplayer on that is lots of fun, just make sure to take your meds or something if you are prone to controller rage.

Re: I Just Bought an Xbox 360

Actually, I don't like MvC2. I own it for Dreamcast, but only because I got it for my birthday. Plus, I plan on eventually owning every U.S.-released Dreamcast game, anyway, so why not keep it? tongue

And my Xbox 360 purchase shouldn't be too surprising. Now, if I ever buy a PlayStation 3, then you should really be worried about the state of the world. If your concern was the mention of Sonic, then rest assured that I don't plan on looking at Sonic anymore than I have to. smile

Re: I Just Bought an Xbox 360

I cant really think of too many 360 games that I'd buy that I couldn't get on pc or ps3. If you want a good hack and slash type game Darksiders is pretty good though. It kinda plays like an updated Soul Reaver. A lot of the really good games on the 360 I probably wouldnt buy on 360 because you can get most of em on pc.

Re: I Just Bought an Xbox 360

Well, I want Alan Wake and Resonance of Fate, and those won't be available on PC. As long as the PC version of Alpha Protocol gets good reviews, I'll be getting that on PC, though.

Plus, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow isn't coming to PC, and I absolutely must have it upon its release.

Maybe Oblivion? I don't think kevinski likes those sort of games though.

I'd get Castle Crashers when you can, that one looks great.

I hope they don't screw it up. The only thing I've been waiting for game-wise is Dragon Quest 9 for the DS.

Yeah, I'm definitely not into games like Oblivion. Really, there's just way too much to do. I tend to prefer games that have some sort of linearity to them, because I have the attention span of a damn puppy. And yeah, I've had my eyes on Castle Crashers for a long time.

My only concern is that I have a feeling that LoS will lack the depth of the Metroidvania games. I'll buy it because it's a Castlevania game, although I'd probably feel a lot better about the project if Iga was somehow involved. He just has so much love for the series, so it'd be a shame if he didn't make anymore Castlevania games. Wasn't there supposed to be mention of Iga's newest project a while back? I never even followed up to see what it was. I haven't heard anything.

Re: I Just Bought an Xbox 360

Iga not being in it might not be such a bad thing. For example if these new guys are huge Castlevania freaks then they might do a bang up job with it. Imagine for example if they could take the handful of us, throw a ton of money and resources at us (and great programmers, artists, musicians, etc) and say "BUILD ME A CASTLEVANIA WORTHY OF MORDOR!"?

Or something like that.

Re: I Just Bought an Xbox 360

Oh, I'm not saying that these guys won't do a bang-up job. I'm just saying that I like Iga's enthusiasm for the series, and I feel more comfortable about games when he's involved. Why? Because - no matter how ridiculous the plots may be - he always manages to tie things into the storyline.

Re: I Just Bought an Xbox 360

I just saw the trailer for this last night. I.... Hmmm, well it's not that it doesn't look good it just doesn't really look like Castlevania. I wish they'd go for more of the classic horror junk. I mean aside from the wargs and the howling it's kind of like God of War looking isn't it?
